Kindergarten

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is considered the first educational stage in a child's life, during which the child develops basic skills and forms his personality. In order to achieve this, we have formulated a kindergarten curriculum based on the vision of ambitious schools and their clear mission. We have ensured that the curriculum includes goals that instill national identity values, religious values, and ethical principles that will build the behavior of today's children and prepare them to become responsible and righteous youth of tomorrow.

Therefore, Al-Bassam Private Kindergarten has adopted a bilingual educational system, integrating the Arabic and English language by 50% for each language during the school day. This curriculum aims to prepare children who are linguistically and culturally distinguished, capable of effectively communicating in both languages.

Our ambition is reflected in realizing the goals of the curriculum into tangible achievements, representing the level of our children's learning in various fields and in the development and refinement of their personalities. This is to enable them to reach the ranks of sophisticated communities, competing with their peers in the local and global society, according to high-standard development programs supported by a set of noble human and Islamic values, and meeting the requirements of the twenty-first century.

Our approach features:

• Child-centered learning: We focus on the individual needs and interests of each child, designing educational experiences that suit their unique learning style. We also believe in the importance of play in the learning process, providing children with a rich environment of diverse activities that help them learn in a fun and engaging way.

• Emphasis on differentiated education: We believe that each child is a unique individual with their own needs, interests, and learning styles. We use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all children.

• Integration of STEAM approach: We use the STEAM approach as a tool to integrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to achieve integration between core subjects and inquiry-based units.

• Learning through discovery: We provide children with opportunities to learn through discovery and experimentation, helping them develop critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Continuous assessment: We continuously evaluate children's progress through various observation and measurement tools, providing them with necessary feedback to help improve their performance.

• Partnership with parents: We work on enhancing communication with parents through regular meetings and school events, offering them support and guidance on how to help their children learn at home.

Our Goals:

• Instilling religious and ethical values in the hearts of children

• Acquiring Arabic language skills

• Acquiring English language skills

• Developing STEAM skills

• Developing 21st-century skills

In presenting the English language curriculum, we rely on the Savvas Realize™ curriculum, which is a high-level curriculum aimed at building comprehension skills in English for children.

We also support children with special needs and provide them with necessary support through the support unit available at the school. Activities serve as an outlet for children to pursue their passions and interests outside the classroom environment. In our schools, we offer special physical education classes, swimming classes, library visits where children listen to a story read aloud weekly, as well as educational and recreational field trips, and summer clubs.
