1- Our schools have an approved five-year strategic plan that includes 6 domains covering aspects of school work, and action plans for all departments derived from the school strategic plan.

2- Our schools have approved policies (38 policies) that set clear frameworks for all administrative, educational and financial practices within the campuses. These policies have been reviewed and developed regularly. Currently, there is the third edition of the school policies has been issued in 2019.

3- Our schools have an approved job description for all jobs that determines the duties and responsibilities, work relations, and tasks. This description is subject to development when needed.  Currently, there is the second edition has been issued in 2019.

4-Our schools continuously ensure the clarity of the relationships between the school’s organizational structures, including the owners, the Advisory Board, and Educational Boards to ensure an understanding for all relevant parties.

6- Our schools have professional standards for teachers and educational leaders that provide general frameworks for performance for each group.

7- Our schools have formal assessment processes that use various methods of surveys, self-assessment methods, self-review forms, and other mechanisms to assess the quality of school governance, management, and leadership processes according to organized schedules. The main purpose is to obtain reliable data on the quality of these processes, and the extent of the need for modification and development.

To further clarify the relationships between the components of governance in Al-Bassam Schools, there is a council for each stage (elementary, middle and secondary) in each campus consisting of the school Principal, the administrative Vice-Principal and a number of teachers. The main purpose is to discuss matters related to the school in accordance with the MOE regulations for those councils. There is also a senior administration for each campus consisting of the Vice-President for Educational Affairs, Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Assessment Unit, and stages Principals in the campus. This council discusses matters related to the campus and takes the necessary decisions in light of the approved policies and regulations.

Then, we have the Educational Board for Al-Bassam educational Campuses headed by the Educational Board Chairman in Al-Bassam Schools. The members of this board are the Vice-President for Educational Affairs for Boys Campus and Girls Campus as well as the Principal of Al-Bassam International School, and the Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Assessment Unit.  The main duties of this board represent in discussing general matters related to the campuses such as strategic plans, policies, the budget, and other matters indicated in the internal regulations of the Educational Board.

There is also the School Advisory Board which consists of nine members appointed by a decision of the Advisory Board Chairman. This board includes four committees; the Teaching and Learning Committee, the Community Participation Committee, the Student Academic Achievement Committee, and the Support Systems Committee. The main duties of the Advisory Board represent in discussing and supporting the school guiding statements (Core values, Vision, Mission and Strategic Aims), and applicable educational policies as well as giving opinion and advice on the development programs offered to the school and other matters indicated in the internal regulations of the advisory Board.

Despite the current circumstances related to school suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these boards are still working through holding meetings remotely, and taking decisions required for school progress in the campuses in light of the regulations approved for these boards, and in accordance with the school policies. Some meetings of the Educational Board and the Advisory Board have been held remotely, in addition to activating the Student Council remotely as well.
