In order to accomplish our goals, Al-Bassam Schools have decided to follow teaching a variety of teaching approaches which are appropriate for our learning standards. It has been made clear that rote memorization is the main reason behind the students' low standards of knowledge acquirement and cognitive skills, even though they scored higher marks. This is because rote memorization did not allow students to practice what they learn. In addition, it does not teach them any concepts, facts, or any kind of knowledge.

For this reason, our schools decided that it is necessary to follow practical learning approaches which demand the teachers' planning and leading the process of the students' learning and grasping knowledge. The student also has a special social environment through working individually, in groups, and as teams.

Evidence of the stated above:

1.     The student's share of the period has increased to reach 70% of the total period.

2.     Encouraging individual work and working as teams in the classroom.

3.     Teaching relies on variable resources and every resource is a key to a better curriculum. The more resources you have, the higher standard of learning you get.

4.     Achieving teaching as a goal especially through Arabic Fusha'a immersion . This is to develop the students into Arabic Fusha'a speakers.

5.     Learning through exploration is a sign of success. Our school is emphasizing Mathematics through  working with the students in the Math lab, Science through the science club, and computer through computer labs and software.

6.     Planning educational fieldtrips with students writing their own reports about the fieldtrips.

7.     Emphasizing self actualization and esteem in education through documenting the students' performance visually and auditorially.

8.     Since the school is an educational society, it is obvious that there will be students with special needs who need special teaching resources in order to improve their standards.

9.     Education has a wider scope than teaching . Our schools aim at developing the curriculum and techniques to teach students self esteem, Problem solving, and facing difficulties. This can be achieved through Life skills, conversation, speech delivery, P.E. classes especially Karate, and Beauty tips in the Art classes.

10.                        Our schools value developing the curriculum as a whole and the science syllabus in order to improve the students' cognitive skills. This will qualify students to attend the best universities in future. It will also teach them how to explore and relate what they learn to their lives beginning at Pre K. We have also set up a science club to do experiments and learn more about scientific phenomena and theories.
